February 7, 2018Early today, Mercury forms a semi-square to Chiron, and our communications may be a bit careless or taken the wrong way. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now. There may be impatience with rules, worry or guilty feelings, and conflicting viewpoints that disrupt the flow of conversations or thoughts. The Moon spends the day in Scorpio, and the Last Quarter Moon occurs this morning as the Moon squares the Aquarius Sun. The Last Quarter Moon phase points to a crisis of consciousness. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week's Full Moon, we reach a point where we need to sort out what works for us--and what doesn't. This is in preparation for next week's New Moon/Solar Eclipse when something new is born once again. This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness.
