Deuteronomy, simply means a second law.
Deuteronomy 3:26 is the verse where the Lord tells Moses, "Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again". The Lord was angry with Moses because of the Israelites and refused to let Moses cross the Jordan River into the Promised Land, despite Moses' repeated requests for permission to do so.
Here's a breakdown of the verse and its context:
Speaker: The Lord.
Recipient: Moses.
Context: Moses had been pleading with the Lord to be allowed to enter the Promised Land, despite the Lord's earlier instruction that he would not.
Reason for the Lord's anger: The Lord was "angry with me because of you," referring to the Israelites.
The Lord's decree: The Lord declares, "Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again". He will not listen to any further requests on the subject.
Outcome: This is a pivotal moment where Moses' request to enter the land is permanently denied, leading to the Lord instructing him to go to the top of Pisgah to view the land instead.
